Community Volunteers has been supporting people in Halesworth and its surrounding rural communities for over 30 years. Formerly known as Halesworth Volunteer Centre, we are the go-to organisation for people seeking help and support in Halesworth and beyond.
Our aims are simple:
Community Volunteers is all about helping you in the way you want to be helped.
We work in partnership with all sorts of organisations, community groups, the NHS and Adult Social Care, so if we cannot help, we will be able to find you someone who can. And if you want to be a volunteer, we can find you the sort of volunteer role you will enjoy, not just with us but with one of the many excellent voluntary and community groups in our area. Just talk to us today on 01986 875600.
Our much loved Community Car Service has been going that extra mile since 1984. Our volunteer drivers will get you to that all important medical appointment. We can take you to catch up with your friends or help you with your weekly shop. If you can no longer travel independently, the Community Car is there to give you a lift.
Isolation Busters is there for anyone who is feeling isolated or alone. If you want to catch up with local gossip, we will send you someone who is in the know... Fancy a game of scrabble? We will find you a Scrabble whiz! Need someone to walk your dog or tidy your garden? We will match you with a volunteer who can help you out.
Our WISH Project is a weekly get together aimed at people who are feeling lonely or a bit low. WISH is about meeting people in a safe, comfortable environment where you can try your hand at arts and crafts or just have a cup of tea and a natter.
