Halesworth Volunteers

• We have made over 2400 deliveries of shopping and medication
• We have provided telephone and in support to over 60 people in Halesworth and our surrounding rural communities
• We have delivered gifts and treats to over 200 households
• We have supported over 300 people per month through our Community Larder Project
• Our Community Car Service ensured that over 1600 people got to their essential medical appointments

Here are just some of the ways that we supported each other during the first Covid-19 lockdown;

• Our shops did home delivery
• Our Cafes dispensed hot meals and afternoon teas for VE Day
• Our pharmacies and chemists worked tirelessly, dispensing medication and getting it delivered
• We talked to our older neighbours, we did their shopping and helped them with little chores
• We stayed home and stayed safe and we saved the NHS
